Leading up to every trip, I imagine lingering over drip coffee in small town cafes, frequent photo ops, reading all the historical markers. I never get as much of that as I want.
But I also forget how much I love to see the scenery through the windshield, the pups snoozing in the back of the van, counting train cars.
Sedona is, for me, New Year as place. "Could I ride this descent last year?" "How did I feel about work last time we were here?"
This was a year of finding all new trail, seeing all kinds of new opportunities, and a following year of rewriting resolutions for a life I didn't know I could live.
